I know this is an old entry, but I've only just seen it since I wanted to get some inspo from your stock. What I don't understand is why people are bothered about conspiracies, bothered about it being an inside job, bothered about the fucking structure of the building.. yet there is no shit given about the people. Obviously everyone cares about the people that died and all give condolences, but instead of posting about that, everyone chats shit about conspiracies. I'd hate to be related to one of the victims of 9/11, all I'd be surrounded by would be conspiracy theories, websites about the government being in on the job, Bin Laden, etc etc.
Anyways, on the poem: very touching. I didn't understand it at first, like the dumbass I am, but when I got it, a smile came onto my face. Let's just hope nothing like 9/11 happens again.
I appreciated your tribute. I was on the N at Cortlandt when the south tower came down. Escaped up an emergency exit at the base of the North a few minutes before it came down. Wife and I barely made it out.
Glad to have survived, thinking of those who didn't.
I remember sitting in my US Government class, oddly enough, when the first plane went in. We were doing classwork when all of the sudden our teacher turned on the TV after talking to some teacher in the hall.
I didn't realize the seriousness of it all until we were in our choir class (about the time the 2nd plane hit) and our choir director let us know how serious it was. It was no small cesna plane or disgruntled drunk. We were under attack.
Yeah, when I first heard about the plane, I just assumed it was a cessna or something. But after a while, everyone in my company congregated around one guy's cube - he had a radio. We stood and listened until the second plane hit and then I closed the company for the day; told everyone to just go home. I remember I didn't have anywhere to go so I just sat there, listening to the radio in the dark.
One of my employees was on his way to a customer meeting in the north tower, and was running late due to traffic. His meeting was later in the afternoon, but when he called, he was completely - utterly - freaked out. The customers he was going to meet didn't survive.

My condolences to them. I don't know what else to say...
