It's been about 20 years since I was really in practice, so I nearly couldn't bear to post this; I felt so rusty and slow. Mostly, I was just happy because I've never tried to draw for speed with this particular katana - it's quite a bit longer than the one I learned with, and having an extra two inches "up there" can be really dangerous if you lose track of where the tip of the blade is. Especially since the polish on this one is really fine and it's extremely sharp. I dropped my shoulders forward slightly on the first cut - it's amazing how revealing all the slow-motion can be. Every slight mistake is right there!
1/10 speed, shot with a Casio EX-F1 high speed camera at 300FPS. "real time" this was about 2 seconds or so.
